Description: iHeartMedia Savannah Chief Engineer. The successful candidate will oversee all technical aspects of a Radio market and must be highly skilled not only in technical matters, but also have strong management and communication skills. This position has substantial hands on requirements.
Requirements: Responsibilities: •Accountable for planning, developing, implementing and administering one or more technology functions of the Market, including information technology, broadcast and/or digital media technologies. •Organizes and directs all technology functions of the market or station, including local area network and software infrastructure development and maintenance, telecommunications, data security and disaster recovery. •Organizes and directs the broadcast technology functions of the market or station including broadcast equipment engineering, broadcast studios and transmission facilities. •Organizes and directs digital media technology including digital media equipment and infrastructure. •Ensures broadcast equipment and systems are available, maintained, robust and upgraded in a manner that ensures reliable, continuous operations compliant with all local and federal Rules and regulations. •Fluent understanding of FCC part 1, 73 and 74 Rules and regulations necessary. •Ensures timely troubleshooting and engineering support to keep broadcasts reliably on-air and on streams. • Plans and coordinates new installations or changes to technology infrastructure. •Position is on 24 hour duty call. Required Skills and Experience: •Nexgen audio playout systems •Both High and Low power RF Transmission systems and transmitters •Microsoft operating systems •Cisco IOS •Bench Electronics troubleshooting and repair •HP/Dell Computer Hardware •Printers •Audio Routing and management •Audio mixing consoles, processing and management •Power generators and UPS systems •Satellite systems •Tower management •5 + years of experience in broadcast engineering or related electronics field •Ability to design, install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and/or repair radio broadcast equipment, Including information systems •Knowledge of broadcast systems circuitry, design, and/or installation. Records maintenance skills •Ability to test systems and/or operations in compliance with published standards •Windows/OSX and networking skills required Proficient in studio, transmitter and digital media maintenance •Computer administration •Computer automation systems, •Remote broadcasts •FCC and OSHA rules •IT infrastructure •STL systems •Power generation systems •Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel alike •Minimum 5 years broadcast engineering experience •Technical education or similar experience •SBE certification and/or FCC General license a plus •Valid driver's license with excellent driving record Education/Certification •SBE certification at CBRE or higher preferred •Cisco, A+ certification a plus •2 years Technical School or military training in electronics very helpful

We are looking for someone who Creates innovative, informative e-news bulletins with Net Community in cooperation with Director of On-Air Fundraising and Programming with the directives to raise awareness and revenue. Targets multiple audiences - listeners, viewers, educators, parents and potential donors. Follows e-trends and tracks progress of campaigns. Sources, develops and maintains thank you gift lists for TV and Radio Fundraising. Coordinates with the Endowment on gift and ticket issues. Answers customer calls and follows through with answers in a timely manner. Relays gift information to answering service in a timely manner. Serves as backup volunteer/food coordinator. Coordinates/maintains gift information with MIS personnel for web sites and Trac Automator system. Assists Director of On-air Fundraising and Programming as needed.
Requirements: MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts, Arts Management or Computer Science and two years of experience in a broadcast environment which the incumbent obtained a working knowledge of the requirements of broadcast and web production practices and schedules. Script writing/copy editing required. Experience with the Net Community web-based application or experience in using web based applications is preferred. Requirements: Level of performance requires a superior command of grammar and broadcast news-writing style. Responsible for production of stories to include: setting up the story, interviews, writing, and graphic coordination. Research stories online and on telephone with appropriate sources and contacts. Aggressively participates in covering breaking news in and out of newscasts. Coordinate with web/social team to coordinate coverage for online and on-air. Log and edit video for inclusion on scripts. Responsible for editorial decisions and/or changes made in the control room while the newscast is on the air. Communicates via IFB to provide producer direction and talent instruction to crews in the field and in studio. Collaborate with Executive Producer prior to air and during newscast about changes. Partners with newscast director before, during and after newscast to accomplish creative and clean production. Work with reporters to develop story scripts. Edit reporter scripts and provide feedback. Assign voiceovers and VO-SOTs to reporters and anchors. Via phone, and in person work with on-air staff to assist with story development and/or story support. Supervise and oversee the writers assigned to the shift. Assign writing ideas to APs. Edit AP scripts and provide feedback. Maintain open communication with News Director, the news management team and all station personnel to efficiently, respectfully and professionally complete news assignments. Participates in news meetings to provide story and production ideas for any and all newscasts. Participate in special projects and programming. Available to work outside of scheduled hours. Constantly uses verbal, audible, and visual abilities to perform essential functions. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Sits for extended period of time in order to accomplish essential duties. Attend and participate in any company training seminars, meetings or other attendance required events. Comply with all Station and Department policies, procedures and guidelines related activities. Occasionally bends stoops and crouches to arrange copy/script paper for work related functions. Must possess a minimum of 2 years television news writing and producing experience. College degree in journalism or equivalent is required. iNews and Adobe Premiere Pro experience preferred. Must possess excellent news judgment. Knowledge of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County area is preferred. Dependability, strong writing skills and accuracy are crucial.
