Description: As a member of the Nexstar digital sales team, the Integrated Digital Specialist (IDS) is responsible for generating and growing digital marketing service revenue for the company. The IDS will be the market’s subject matter expert on digital services and will work, both independently and in conjunction with the Nexstar sales team, to achieve budgeted revenue goals in the digital marketing services area. The Integrated Digital Specialist will achieve this by professionally and effectively selling Amplify, Nexstar’s Digital suite of digital marketing services/products (including targeted video, digital audience and reach extensions, SEO/SEM, and sponsorships) with the objective of advancing client objectives.
Requirements: Experience: • 1+ years of digital marketing or media sales preferred • Significant knowledge of the local digital marketing services product offering and it’s effective use for clients. • Motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter who is able to work effectively both independently and collaborating in a team environment • Effective communication and client presentation skills • Ability to interact with high-level decision makers • Ability to execute in an organization through collaboration and a consultative process • Excellent follow-up, strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals • Up to date on latest trends in digital marketing service industry • Resourceful, self-motivated and a skillful multi-tasker • Ability to manage account receivables for your book of business • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to become proficient on in-house sales systems Requirements: Education: BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred M/F/D/V EOE Pre-employment drug and background screening required. Description: WJZY and WMYT, Fox O&O serving the Charlotte, NC region is seeking a Maintenance Engineer / Digital Systems. The Maintenance Engineer will manage the technical operations of this Fox O&O duopoly in accordance with FCC, OSHA, and Corporate Engineering Standards and practices that meets SMPTE/IEEE and ATSC and other applicable specifications. In addition to maintenance duties for Engineering, this employee will install and turn up new technologies and provide necessary operator training to match department workflow. As needed this position supports repair and maintenance of the facility. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: In depth knowledge of broadcast technical operations including IP based equipment. Extensive knowledge and experience with hardware, software, and multiple OS of servers and PC’s is required. Ability to work with any manufacturer on applications. Basic understanding of networking devices on multiple LANs and connecting to WANS is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to understand and implement written procedures and directives a current working knowledge of IT and broadcast equipment, an understanding of multiple formats of video and transport streams. A clear working knowledge of multiple digital media formats and basics of transcoding. Ability to maintain satellite operations. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships. Maintain confidentiality regarding company information. Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 3 years engineering experience working in a TV broadcast news environment. Credentials: Must have a valid NC/SC driver’s license. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach above one’s head and climb ladders. Greet, escort and ensure guests are properly equipped with mic and any other equipment the guest (s) might need during the weekday morning show. Encourage guests on GDC to post on social media to their fan base before and after appearances. Assist with taking photos. Develop creative new ideas and segments in a professional manner to keep the shows fresh with local content for all newscasts including GDC. Must attend all editorial meetings during shift. Act as a liaison with the Promotions department to assist with the booking and execution of satellite live shots to support high profile guests and series. Identify and communicate with Promotions department which stories and/or shows need to be cross-promoted. Oversee gathering of viewer advocacy stories and vet which ones are relevant enough to air. Creatively use skills to produce great TV. Utilize networks of contacts (i.e. PR) to secure celebrity guests visiting Charlotte. Develop contacts in other markets to borrow successful concepts. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communication. News Production preferred. Must possess a minimum of five years’ experience in a television newsroom or comparable. Ideal candidate must have strong oral & written skill set in social media; strong people and leadership skills and exceptional communication skills with a strong work ethic. Must be highly creative and able to visualize and execute compelling television segments. Organization and outstanding news and content judgement are essential in this role. Capable to react quickly to breaking news. Working knowledge of libel laws, journalistic ethics and contest rules. Proficiency with newsroom computer systems (iNews, AVID, etc.) and satellite news gathering.

Works with vendors and suppliers to keep weather equipment fully functional and up to date. Prepares and implements a severe weather plan. Establishes a philosophy for the best delivery of weather information to the public. Assists with the maintenance of story boxes in the newsroom computer system including updating files and noting possible story ideas. Reviews newscasts to ensure objectives are attained. Meets all scheduling and broadcast deadlines. Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings. Responsible for any and all equipment issued by FOX. Assists News Director with preparation of weather staff performance appraisals. Other duties as assigned. Four year degree required. Must be certified as a Meteorologist. Must be flexible and able to work overtime, holidays and varied hours required.
