Join an Emmy-winning team that tells the stories of how we live, play, eat, and connect. Palmetto Life is hiring a Lifestyle Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) who shines on camera and thrives in end-to-end production. You’ll pitch, shoot, write, edit, and deliver standout lifestyle stories across broadcast, web, and social. You’ll also produce and host our weekend show—crafting must-watch segments and clearly labeled sponsored content in partnership with clients—all while upholding strong editorial standards.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Create: Research, pitch, write, shoot, edit, and publish original lifestyle stories for TV, web, and social.
• Host & Produce: Lead our weekend show (live and pre-recorded)—own rundowns, bookings, segment planning, and execution.
• Deliver Daily: Produce at least one polished, station-quality package per day.
• Go Live: Conduct smart, engaging live interviews with a wide range of guests.
• Collaborate: Partner with marketing and sales to develop sponsored/branded segments (always clearly labeled and audience-first).
• Contribute: Jump in on additional assignments as needed.
Who you are
• A creative self-starter with an eye for story and a knack for pacing, visuals, and sound.
• Comfortable juggling multiple platforms—and tailoring content for each.
• Equally strong in front of the camera and in the edit bay.
• Calm and nimble in live environments with excellent communication and booking skills.
• Collaborative, accountable, and committed to editorial integrity.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Proven professional experience in shooting, writing, editing, and producing content
• Confident on-camera presence with strong hosting/interviewing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under a deadline
• Self-starter with a creative mindset and a passion for storytelling
• FAA Drone Certification a plus
• Ability to work Wednesday-Sunday required
• Good driving record required
