WIS is seeking a Business Office Manager to join our executive leadership team. This individual reports directly to the WIS Vice President & General Manager, and is responsible for promoting organizational excellence and providing expert administrative guidance for the station.
Responsibilities:
• Create and promote a safe, productive workplace culture, working closely with the VP/GM to address opportunities and concerns with empathy and urgency.
• Provide business office support to our Sales team related to account management, client billing, collections efforts, customer service, and other administrative revenue needs.
• Act as the local Human Resources contact, onboarding all new hires and working to educate and support existing staff.
• Help ensure compliance with all company policies and FCC regulations.
• Collaborate with the WIS leadership team to establish, pursue, and celebrate achieving collective goals.
• Connect regularly with Gray Media’s community of Office Managers to stay updated on the latest training, policies, and company priorities.
• Planning and execution of quarterly staff meetings with the VP/GM, as well as other meetings and events.
• Provide executive assistance to the VP/GM, as needed.
Qualifications:
• Five years of professional experience, with demonstrated excellence in organizational management preferred
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Advanced technology skills to include command of Microsoft Office Suite, and ideally previous experience with Wide Orbit
