Lifestyle Executive Producer/Co-Host

WJZY-TV/FOX Charlotte is hiring an energetic & dynamic Executive Producer/Co-host for a daily hour-long lifestyle show launching in the Queen City later this year.

We can’t say much about the content of the show just yet—partly because we’re keeping our pre-launch plans under wraps for now, and partly because the right candidate will have a large say in what the show becomes.

Duties Include:

• Assists in writing, copy editing, researching, and coordinating content.
• Superior on-air presence interviewing guests/clients in the studio and on location.
• Knowledge of current events, pop culture, and community connections.
• Help find local engaging stories to highlight on-air and on social media.
• Researching show topics and developing questions for guests.
• Writing and editing stories and in-studio pieces.
• Working with producer and co-host in booking guests.
• Working with production team on taping schedules and live show management.
• Work with sales department to help ensure a positive experience for clients.
• Ability to deliver pre-live shows and pre-produced stories on time and on brand.
• Post stories to shows website and daily social media posts.
• Station Representative at Community Events
• Other duties as assigned by CSD.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• An infectious personality that viewers will love watching each day
• Excellent communication skills required to actively work with all departments (Sales, Marketing, News, Production, Programming) at the station
• Minimum 2 Years On-Air Lifestyle Hosting & Producing Experience
• Ability to lead a small team
• Ability to shoot video is a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere) a huge plus.
• Knowledge of ENPS and Daybook helpful
