Job Purpose:
Provides leadership and direction for the agency’s enterprise systems area. Analyzes agency technology needs and system requirements to determine the feasibility of design and technical specifications. Manages server and storage team responsible for Windows server, VMware virtual server, and Dell Isilon storage implementation. Manages systems development team responsible for enterprise application development and support. Participates in defining architecture strategies and duration; works collaboratively to design, engineer and implement solutions in response to agency needs. Manages server and development projects. Develops and ensures infrastructure documentation such as design and environment specifications, user and technical manuals and process methodology documentation.
Job Duties:
Manages infrastructure systems including virtual server environment and storage (VXRail/Isilon/Hitachi UCP & HCI). Responsible for capacity planning and security implementations. Manages and supports agency applications including SQL databases and web development projects
Performs the independent analysis, development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise server and operating system technologies. Manages the system integration of data systems into reporting and analytics for agency staff and executive management.
Creates, maintains, and updates essential system documentation as needed for compliance with State and Agency related enterprise infrastructure standards (security, standardization, monitoring, maintenance, etc.).
Acts as Tier 3 user support for troubleshooting infrastructure related issues. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:A bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Preferred Qualifications bachelor’s degree and five years of management experience in an enterprise information technology infrastructure environment.
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of planning programs and work activities in an information technology environment. Ability to plan and supervise the implementation of short- and long-range information technology-based activities and objectives. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and review the work of technical personnel. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with users, technical staff, management, vendors, and others. Knowledge of the needs and priorities of the agency. Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
