Lifestyle Producer/Booker

JOB SUMMARY:
WIS is looking for a Producer / Show Booker for our new lifestyle program which seeks to highlight food, shopping, activities, events, and things to do around the Midlands. We’re looking for a local expert to help write interview segments, book studio guests, and pre-produce stories that showcase the very best that our community has to offer. The ideal candidate will be skilled at putting together a daily half-hour program that engages and entertains our audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Book guests, maintain show calendar, create content for and line produce a daily show.

Greet and manage communication with guests during show preparation and broadcast.

Produce engaging social media and digital content.

Work within a production environment and alongside sales departments on sponsored show elements. Produce a variety of creative assets for our broadcast and digital platforms.

Ability to fill in as Multi-Media Journalist on camera when needed.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Film/Video, or a related field.

Video shooting and editing (Adobe Premiere and/or Edius) experience preferred.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Strong ability to find answers and solve problems.

Ability to work as a team and independently within a production environment.

Must be able to stay up to date on local and current events.

Must be energetic, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and pitch in where needed.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
