JOB SUMMARY:
If you’re an expert local guide and you’ve dreamed of the chance to host your own show about places to see, people to meet, and things to eat, this could be the chance of a lifetime! WIS News 10 is in search of a self-driven, creative, and proactive Lifestyle Show Host and show scheduler. We’re looking for someone to host and coordinate a half-hour-long, Monday thru Friday lifestyle show from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Provide daily on-camera contributions to a daily television show Interview show guests/clients both in-studio and on location

·         Research, shoot, write, edit, and present stories on the air, including sponsored content

·         Assist Producer with writing show segments

·         Prospect local businesses for show content

·         Research show topics and develop questions for guests in coordination with Producer

·         Closely work with the sales team on sponsored content

·         Ability to fill in as host and/or producer when required

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Film/Video, Journalism, or another related field

·         Experience as a host or on-air personality

·         Experience shooting and editing video (Edius or Premiere Pro) required. ENPS a plus

·         Must be familiar with social media best practices (Facebook/Twitter/TikTok/Instagram)

·         Ability to produce content in the field independently

·         Strong writing and proof-reading skills

·         Strong ad-libbing and interviewing skills

·         Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines

·         Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills

·         Strong customer service skills are a must

·         Drivers license and good driving record are required

·         Ability to pay careful attention to detail while under the pressure of deadlines

·         Strong ability to find answers and solve problems
